Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Walkthrough – Sequence 5

Published on December 29th, 2010

Welcome to the complete guide for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. This guide will take you by the hand through all nine sequences of the atmospheric adventure.

: The Banker

Escape From Debt
Full Synchronization- Do not be detected while escorting the senator.

Enter the Rosa in Fiore and talk to Claudia to start this memory. You’ll find the senator at the back of the green area. Defeat the three guards attacking him. This next part is a real pain in the ass if you’re going for full synch. I’ve yet to find any kind of decent path through the city. Guards are just all over the place. You will have to lead the senator down the back steps, but from then on, it’s all up to you. Make use of Courtesans and other allies to distract guards if you can’t find a way through an area. Also, it helps to turn off the millions of icons on your map so you can actually see the red dots. Finally, if the senator does get noticed, you may still be able to pull off a full synch by calling in some assassins and letting them take down the attackers. The senator has enough health to take a couple of beatings if it comes to it. Just don’t use any special abilities like the assassin’s arrows. These things tend to leave a couple of people alive, and you won’t be able to call out more assassins after you’ve used it. Anyway, you have to lead him to three checkpoints in the area. The mission ends on the third one.

Follow the Money
Full Synchronization- Do not be detected and do not touch the ground while tailing the senator.

You have to have at least 3000 florins to give to the senator to start this memory. Talk to him when you’re ready. Climb the rooftops and make your way to the checkpoint. After the cutscene, you’ll have to follow the money. Stay on the rooftops and take down the lone guards whenever you encounter them. Getting full synch here is fairly simple, especially compared to the last mission, though you may have to do it a couple of times to become familiar with the guard placement. Once the senator reaches the Pantheon, you’ll be tasked with infiltrating it via the roof. You can touch the ground now if you want. The easiest way up the Pantheon is on the back side. Get up to the top and you will have to kill the lone guard below without being detected. You must climb into the hole and down the small golden hand holds that dot the inside of the dome. Continue down until you can air assassinate the enemy, which completes the memory.

When in Rome
Full Synchronization- Arrive at your destination in less than 3 minutes.

At the beginning, go left. The synchronization meter is like a hot/cold thing that tells you how close you are to the next checkpoint. Take the first left after the invisible checkpoint. You’ll be forced to turn right, then take another left after that. You’ll be forced to turn left. At the fork, take the right path, and stay right. Do not go up the stairs. After going around the bend, take the first left, go past the horses, and turn right. You’ll hit another checkpoint. After that, go left, down the stairs, and go through the courtyard, staying on the right side. You’ll start to enter another road, but take the first right up the stairs here instead. At the top, go left, then turnright when you get to the hay. Once outside, turn right, then take the first left down some more stairs. Go through this area and across the bridge to
finish the memory. Remember that holding the Right Trigger lets you jog, but if you hit someone you’ll drop the money chest.

In and Out
Full Synchronization- Kill the Banker from a bench without being detected.

The first part of this mission requires you to tail the money without being spotted. This involves moving from group to group to stay hidden. Use the Courtesans to distract the guards at the bottom of the stairs. On the stairs, the money changes hands. Around this time a moving crowd should pass by, so blend in with them and follow the money this way. Eventually the money will turn right and the crowd will go left, following the other guards. When they go left a bit, break from them and hide behind the low wall, the one with some hay on the other side. A single guard is looking right at the area you need to go through, but if you run to the crowds of people, you will barely be ableto avoid detection. Jump from crowd to crowd until the next cutscene. After this, use the Courtesans as mobile cover. As you get close to guards, they will automatically lure them away. Do this once more, and then move into a group of people. They will lead you into a courtyard type area. Bounce from group to group and head into the alley on the left.

After this cutscene, you’ll have to kill the banker. Use the poison blade to draw away guards if you want, though this isn’t necessary. You should try to take out some of the guards just to ease the pressure. The one by the hay and the one guarding the stairs are two that you can take down easily. Youcan also lure guards by standing in their sight until the arrow fills up with yellow. At that point,it’ll start to fill up with red. Don’t let it fill up all the way. Instead run to the hay or over to a bench. The guard will investigate, and you can kill him without making a fuss. Also, there are some Courtesans here that are very handy for distracting guards. You can assassinatethe spear-toting soldier from one bench and the Banker from another. After you finish, get out of the area to complete the memory.

Paper Trail
Go back to the Rosa in Fiore to start this short memory which only involves a
cutscene. Once it ends, the 5th Sequence is complete.
