Alan has just two days to produce a manuscript for a book he supposedly wrote. If he doesn’t his wife’s kidnapper may do the unthinkable. In the first part of this Episode you’ll gain access to flash bangs for the first time and get to do battle against a possessed bulldozer!

- Talk to the Manager
You’re looking for Rose, follow Randolph. Knock on door of Rose’s cabin. After a nice cup of coffee it appears as though you’ve been poisoned. When you wake up you’ll watch the TV show automatically.
- Leave the Trailer
Check the kitchen before you leave, there’s a coffee thermos in front of the toaster. Leave Rosie’s trailer and right in front of you on the path you’ll see a manuscript.
- Get to the car
The lights have gone out, again. Retrace your steps back toward your car the way you came with Randolph yesterday. At the first cabin you’ll see a manuscript resting on the steps outside the back door. Move to where you see the flagpole. If you keep that to your right you’ll see a coffee thermos straight ahead on the picnic bench. Move out toward the entrance gate. The FBI arrive and they’re after you!
- Escape the Police
Run through the forest away from the police. Take a left and then take a right when you the lights of a patrol car in front of you. Head under the bridge. Police will shoot and it will damage you so keep moving. When you jump down the short drop you’ll see a manuscript page right in front of you on the path. A police car crashes in front of you. Take a right when you hit the road, you’ll see a manuscript on the floor on the left hand side. This is a dead-end so backtrack toward the police car and follow the light up the steps. Follow the path around the ridge and over the bridge, past the police car hanging over the cliff. When the helicopter beams its search-light on you, hide behind a rock and watch as Ravens attack it and send it spiralling down into the forest.
Keep moving, go up to the lookout and look through the binoculars, there’s some more if you make you way around to the other side. You’ll see the radio tower, that’s where you need to get to.
Before you do go into the shack here and listen to the radio show and pick up the coffee thermos. Go back down steps and take a left through the door in the fence.- Reach the Radio Station
As you move down the path toward a set of gates they start to move and shake. This is your meeting with a possessed object. They’ll be many more to come in this section. You need light to destroy it but you don’t have a flash-light yet. Go up the path to the left and into the shack where you can start a generator. The generator turns on a searchlight. Use it to aim at the fence and it will be destroyed. There’s a coffee thermos in this area just behind the sloped pallet. Back down the hill and through the gates and down the steps until you reach another possessed wooden gate. If you move to the right there’s a wooden shack up the hill with a flashlight. Move back down and use the flash-light to destroy the gate.
As you move down the path you’ll now find some flashbangs. These will kill the smaller Taken easily and if they’re in a group it will kill them all. Keep following path until you see the healing light from a street-lamp. Right there you’ll find a Radio show you can listen to. Head right and across the bridge and notice the manuscript on your right hand side on the ridge. Some Taken will attack you here. A good time to test out your flashbangs. If you can kill four of them together you’ll unlock an achievement.
As you move up the path keep looking to your right. There’s a pathway indicated by yellow markers. If you follow it up you’ll come to a cavern with a Hidden Chest and a generator where you can heal. Quite easy to get lost at this point, but try and retrace your steps and head back on the pathway that you haven’t already been down. If you’re lost look out for lights around you and head toward them. When you reach the perimeter fence of the radio station you’ll be attacked. He’s a tough one to kill but you don’t have to stand and fight. Drop a flare and head through the door in the fence. He won’t come after you as soon as you get underneath the light.
- Talk to Pat Maine
Under the Early Bird Sign outside there’s a coffee thermos. Go into the radio station HQ and talk to Pat. You’ll also listen to the radio show. The FBI arrive outside. Time to leg it again!
- Reach the Train Depot
Follow the path and you’ll see a manuscript pinned to a fence on the left. As you move to the next clearing lay down a flare which will give you some time to turn on a generator before four or five Taken descend on your area. Check the crates around you. There’s a revolver and ammo. Move down the trail again when the coast is clear. The pathway forks. Take the right turn and head up the steep mountain path. When you get to the very top you’ll be at the radio station mast. There’s a manuscript here at its base. Head back down the mountain path and look out for a plateau, viewing spot on your left hand side. There’s a coffee thermos right on the edge. You’ll be attacked by Ravens on the way down so use your torch to burn them. Go and take the left hand path this time until you reach a generator. There’s three generators in this area that may come in handy for killing the Taken who are about to attack.
One of the generators points to a shack. There’s a shotgun in there which should be some help. If you’re feeling overwhelmed try and bide yourself time with flares and turn on the generators.One of them only lasts 30 seconds or so so watch yourself! There’s also a small shed in this area with a can pyramid that you can shoot. There’s two pathways that you haven’t been down now. The one on the right is dead-end but if you take it you’ll see a manuscript pinned to the fence. Get back on track and follow the trail. In the shack to your right there’s a coffee thermos. On the way down there’s also a manuscript sitting on a boulder on your right hand side.
Carry on down picking up everything you can from the emergency box. The phone rings. It’s Alice, acting all weird. After the phone call keep following trail. You’ll see a manuscript on a tree stump right in front of you. To the left here you can go up the path to a barn that hides a hidden chest. Head back down the track past the tree stump and climb the ladders onto the railway bridge. More possessed objects here. As you move to the other end of the bridge, girders, tubes and barrels are going to be picked up and thrown toward you. You need to blast at them with your light to burn away the darkness. You want to get through the shaking gates right at the end. This can be tough surviving, but if you focus solely on the gates to destroy them. You can then just leg it through the gates and up the mountain path. If you’re playing in Nightmare mode, you need to head up and right where you see the chainlink fence. The Nightmare manuscript is resting on a tree stump. At the top get the manuscript before you climb the ladders.
- Find a vehicle
There’s a heavy-duty flashlight under the street light when you come up from the ladders. This will burn away the darkness more quickly. Head into the compound. Notice, if you shoot the gas cylinders they explode. That may come in handy for when you’re attacked in a moment. If you search the right hand side of this yard you’ll see a coffee thermos on a pallet. Now go and operate the gate. Taken will descend on your position, but one is much larger than the others. Focus the light on him first, use the cylinders in the yard if you need to. Once defeated move through the gates and into the warehouse. There’s a couple more Taken here to contend with. Go up the stairs and watch the TV show in the office. There’s plenty of ammo in here too. Move out of the door and you’ll see a manuscript at the top of the steps overlooking the new yard. Okay, it’s time to face a possessed bulldozer!
As you move down into the yard, scan the area. You’ll see emergency boxes dotted around which contain flares. Not only are you going to have to contend with a bulldozer driving right at you, but they’ll also be Taken lunging at you with their axes. If you take up cover the bulldozer will smash into it and temporarily you’ll have time before it starts to find your position again to dispose of the Taken on foot. Get rid of these first because they are a real pain. When you do have times when there’s no Taken around focus light on the Bulldozer. Like the other possessed objects you have to drain its Darkness. If you’ve got Flares they’re also worth using. If you time it right you can jump out of the way of the Bulldozer. When its destroyed go and activate the gates.
Before you go to your car, check out the first grain silo on your right through the gates. You’ll find a coffee thermos. That’s it. Get in the car.
