Welcome to the boss battle guide for Batman: Arkham City. In this first fight, you take on Solomon Grundy as he uses electricity to heal himself and become more powerful.
Solomon Grundy is a zombie supervillain.Penguin activates Grundy and delivers electric shocks to him to make him more powerful so he can kill Batman.
When the battle commences, check out he three energy channel devices planted in the ground around the arena.
You need to deactivate them by using batmines to destroy them. Rush around the arena, avoiding Grundy’s blows by dodge rolling out of the way. You can jump over his ball and chain, you just need to time your jumps as he spins around.
As you pass over a generator drop a mine and then trigger it to explode. LT and X allows you to detonate the mines. Grundy may leap toward you. As soon as you see him crouch down and begin to leap in the air dive out of the way to the left or right. He’ll also power up the generators at certain points. You’ll see electricity flowing between him and the generator. Don’t try and detonate them at this point, wait for them to start smoking.
Once you’ve blown up all three, Grundy will curl up in ball giving you the chance to get up close to him and deliver some blows.
Grundy will now get stronger and he’ll slam down his fiery ball and chain at you. You’re better sliding out the way because you can gain more ground. Once again drop mines on the three generators to blow them up and then head up close and batter him.
Congratulation, you should now unlock the “Wrecking Ball” achievement.
