EA has released its latest financial report and unsurprisingly the corporate giant has plans to release the multi-million selling Sims 3 onto consoles.
No firm release date was mentioned or what sacrifices would need to be made in order for the PC version to operate effectively on consoles, but EA have pointed out that Sims 3 will also appear on the handheld platforms as well.

Previously entries in the life simulation franchise appeared on multiple platforms and sold incredibly well, especially on the PS2 and DS.
There isn't any reason why that success won't be replicated with the Sims 3, although some of the title's increased online functionality may need to be dialled back a little.
Expect these newly announced ports to be released sometime before Christmas. As always we'll keep you updated on any further news from the EA camp.
