Nintendo has confirmed after their E3 press conference that the future version of Nintendogs, optimised for the new 3DS, will feature cats for the first time.
The handheld sequel will feature both of nature's domestic enemies in the same space where they will constantly interact with one another.
Facial interaction will also play a big part, utilising the 3DS cameras to create a fun, new way to interact with your virtual pet. They'll even replicate certain movements in accordance with your own.
Graphically the sequel will surpass the original with the developer boasting that animals will have hair and additional detail.
No release date was mentioned during the aftershow, but a simultaneous launch with Nintendo's new 3DS seems likely.
