Japanese DSi owners had a little digital treat in store when they turned on their handhelds this morning, with a firmware update (version 1.4, for those interested in such things) that provides the Facebook functionality Cammie Dunaway talked about at Nintendo's E3 conference.
What this means is that photos taken with your DSi camera (which has simultaneously been improved with "faster image display speed") can now be uploaded to said social networking site. Because there's nothing that says you're one of the cool kids more than a profile pic of you sporting a Mario hat and moustache.
The service will likely hit other territories at some point in the Autumn.
