The Hut Group has begun taking pre-orders for the Nintendo 3DS – putting a whopping £299.97 price tag on the unit.
The retail group, which operates the online stores for The Hut, Zavvi, WH Smith and Best Buy, began taking pre-orders for the upcoming handheld this morning, listing the upcoming handheld for a March 25th release.
Black, red and blue versions of the 3DS are each available to pre-order.
Earlier in the week, GAME and Gamestation started taking pre-orders for the unit in-store. The firm temporarily had a March 1st release date listed on its website.
Speculation on a price and release date for Nintendo’s latest handheld has been building in anticipation of Nintendo’s European 3DS conference, set to be held in Amsterdam on January 19th.
Expect an official price and release date then.
