Sega has unofficially confirmed that Super Monkey Ball 3DS will be available at the launch of Nintendo’s upcoming 3D wonder.
Speaking with Game Informer, Sega’s Alan Pritchard mentioned in passing that the monkey puzzler would launch with the Nintendo 3DS:
"The 3DS was great. I don’t known anyone who went to E3 that wasn’t excited about it. We’re obviously waiting to hear a lot more information from Nintendo. We have announced Super Monkey Ball for 3DS, which will be a launch title."
Super Monkey Ball 3DS joins Madden NFL 3DS and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars as titles confirmed to launch with the Nintendo 3DS.
Mr Pritchard also mentioned that the publisher is looking to use four or five existing IPs including some older franchises and some brand new ones:
"We have a number of 3DS titles in our line-up for next financial and calendar year. There’s four or five existing franchises, one or two from the old Sega IP locker, and we’re looking at one or two new IPs as well."
There’s plenty of franchises we’d love to see Sega revive in glorious 3D but we won’t mention names. We’re sure you guys can rattle off a laundry list of favourites.
