5th Cell has announced that its Scribblenauts series has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide so far.
Revealed during the developer’s DICE 2011 presentation, 2.5 million units has been accumulated over 13 months across two entries in the series, the last being Super Scribblenauts which hit shelves last October.
Super Scribblenauts landed a worthy 8 in our PlayZine review in which Tom Worthington said: "Apologising for its original’s failing, Super Scribblenauts reminds us that very few games can match its level of ingenious creativity."
5th Cell also revealed that other franchise Drawn to Life has raked in impressive numbers of over 3.5 million sales.
The Drawn to Life series has appeared on the Nintendo DS and Wii with a SpongeBob SquarePants Edition likely to have contributed to the game’s popularity.
