Bounty hunter Samus Aran will be making an appearance in Team Ninja’s upcoming 3DS fighter Dead or Alive: Dimensions.
Famed for her leading role in the Metroid series, a stage designed for the Nintendo icon will see players fending off attacks from arch-nemesis Ridley before Samus steps in to save the day.
Her appearance is no doubt down to Team Ninja’s involvement in with 2010′s Metroid: Other M.
However, Samus Aran will not be joining the Dead or Alive roster.
Speaking at a presentation, Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayoshi explained:
"So talking about Samus Aran, is she playable or not? This time she’s not playable. But Samus Aran will be shown in the game. She comes to help the player. That’s the collaboration shown there in the trailer. But how you can unlock Samus Aran? Please find out by yourself,"
Dead or Alive: Dimensions is due to launch in the March-June release window on Nintendo 3DS.
