A Famitsu report has supposedly revealed new information surrounding a 3DS firmware update anticipated to go live this month.
A translation from international site, The Magic Box, details the contents of the firmware update which hints at some of the eShop’s day one content.
The update will include the Nintendo eShop as well as the functionality to import DSi Ware content from your DSi to 3DS.
Many of the titles mentioned are likely to be Japan-only launch software although its likely that some titles mentioned will launch worldwide.
Confirmed 3DS Ware launch titles include Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version aka Rockman Dash 3 Prologue for the low price of 200 yen (around £1.50).
3D classics will include the NES classic The Legend of Zelda, Xevious, and the free-to-download Excitebike.
Virtual Console titles will include Gameboy, Game Gears, Gameboy Colour and PC Engine favorites including Super Mario Land, Sonic & Tails 2 and Columns.
A demo of The Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening DX will be available day one.
Further more, demos of the 3D Video player, Preview channels and Japanese TV broadcast services will be present in the Japanese update.

Many will notice that the internet browser promised in the first update is missing from this list.
Expect Nintendo to make an official announcement regarding the May firmware update very soon.
