Nintendo says its plant picking series Pikmin is a perfect candidate for 3D gaming.
The statement comes from the latest instalment of Iwata Asks in which the Nintendo head honcho is joined by Shigeru Miyamoto and Mother creator Shigeasto Itoi to examine the company’s upcoming handheld: the Nintendo 3DS.
Here’s a snippet of their conversation:
"Miyamoto: Doesn’t Pikmin look great?
"Iwata: It seems like Pikmin is perfect for 3D.
"Miyamoto: I like the way they scurry around.
"Itoi: Pikmin is a game with a peculiar 3D effect as if you’re getting down on hands and knees to look at something small. Man, I want one of these! I’ll buy one, Prez! How much is it going to cost me, Prez?"
Captain Olimar and his army of flowery foes haven’t been seen since making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s roster in 2008.
Miyamoto has confirmed that a third Pikmin is in development years ago no official art or footage has seen the light of day.
Could Pikmin 3 be coming to the Nintendo 3DS?
