As the Nintendo 3DS launches in the US, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has weighed in his thoughts on the handheld’s success in the coming year.
In a KOAM TV article, Pachter was quoted as saying that Nintendo will sell "as many Nintendo 3DS as they can make" in the next 12 months.
He also added that despite the recent tragedies in Japan, an estimation of 16 million units worldwide is "very fair".
Analyst Jesse Divnich of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research expects demand for the 3D handheld to be "more brisk" during its first year on sale than previous consoles.
The Nintendo 3DS went on sale in the UK last Friday.
