Okamiden, the DS successor to the much loved PS2 classic Okami, will be released in Europe on March 18th Capcom announced today.
The exclusive handheld title will feature the same canvas and brush gameplay which made the original so captivating, as well as soft but striking traditional Japanese visuals.
Despite the plot following on directly from the events in the original, a new god named Chubiterasu stars in the form of a wolf pup tasked with protecting the land.
With Nintendo’s 3DS launching in the same month, Capcom are sure to get behind this promising adventure in a big way.
We have our fingers crossed that Okamiden will be a worthy successor to Clover Studio’s stunning original.
