Star Fox 64 3D will not support online multiplayer, Nintendo confirmed to retailers this morning.
Tweets from a Shibuya retailer confirmed a few details including new information that Star Fox 64 3D will be playable in both the original N64 mode and 3DS mode which adds gyro-sensor controls.
A Battle mode was also confirmed supporting up to four players and can be played via download play.
However, reports confirm that this multiplayer mode will not support Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.
This is disappointing considering the 2007 DS entry Star Fox Command supported online multiplayer.
Star Fox 64 3D launches in Japan on July 14, no US and European release dates have been set at this time.
