The Nintendo 3DS’ Mii Plaza is to be updated with new features by the end of the year according to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata.
Speaking at an Investor’s Briefing last week, Iwata addressed the lack of content available on the 3DS’ pre-installed application and promised new content and features would be available before the end of the year.
The Mii Plaza is where 3DS owners can go to greet other Mii characters shared via StreetPass connectivity. This software also includes ‘Puzzle Swap’ where players can swap puzzle pieces to create 3D images and ‘StreetPass Quest’ where visiting Mii’s can be used as soldiers in a simple RPG game.
Iwata also promised that more software going forward will make use of the Mii’s that players accumulate in their Plaza.
Nintendo recently dropped the price of its 3D handheld worldwide after the system failed to meet sales expectations.
Thanks Andriasang.
