Nintendo and Capcom made a surprise announcement today that Monster Hunter 4 would be appear on Nintendo 3DS hardware.
Shortly after discussing Monster Hunter 3G, a tweaked port of the Wii title, a trailer for a sequel titled Monster Hunter 4 was shown.
The trailer showed a lone hunter running for his life against two monsters leaping off crumbling platforms, hopping ledges with an almost parkour-like skill and hopping onto an enemy’s back to lay in some heavy attacks.
This news is a big deal for Nintendo who’ve struggled to reach their targets with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS. Securing a title as big in Japan as Monster Hunter will no doubt see a rise in sales for the handheld.
No release date was confirmed at this time.
