UK retailer Gamestation has dated Nintendo’s upcoming handheld 3DS for release on March 1st 2011.
Earlier today we reported that the retailer is due to start taking pre-orders for the handheld from tomorrow for a £10 deposit.
Sister company GAME will also reportedly be taking pre-orders in-store.
The supposed release date was first spotted on a store poster, although a Gamestation spokesperson later denied that the date "isn’t actually on the poster we sent to our stores", adding that "the information has been added to the poster by someone incorrectly".
However, Gamestation’s website has since been updated to include the 1st March release date.
GAME currently has the device down for a March release too.
Nintendo is expected to announce a European price and release date for the 3DS on January 19th at a press conference being held in Amsterdam. It’s due for release in Japan next month.
