AC 3DS pulled for Revelations

Published on July 14th, 2011

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy for 3DS has been scrapped in favour of the major holiday release Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

According to a chat Joystiq had with Revelations’ lead writer, Darby McDevitt, the 3DS Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy, was used to form the basis of Revelations’ story.

“You may have heard of the game ‘Lost Legacy’ for the 3DS,” explained McDevitt.

“It was announced, but that kind of morphed into this idea.”

Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy was announced at E3 2010 when Nintendo announced its new handheld . Nothing has been heard of the project since.

Looks like Assassin’s Creed fans will have to wait a little longer for Ubisoft to bring the series to Nintendo 3DS.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this November.
