The Nintendo 3DS is off to a good start in Japan selling 400,000 systems in its launch weekend.
Buyers queued up outside retailers across the country to get their hands on Nintendo’s latest handheld picking up all of the 400,000 units available in under 24 hours.
The Nintendo 3DS went on sale in Japan on February 26, over a month before the system is set to be available in other regions.
Nintendo is aiming to have 1.5 million units in Japan by the end of March.
Sources say that a second shipment was made available yesterday.
The Nintendo 3DS launches in Europe on March 25. Best get those pre-orders in!
