Just hours before launching the system to the general public, Nintendo released a firmware update for the Nintendo 3DS adding a surprise for early adopters this weekend.
The Version 1.1.0-1 update includes improvements to the 3DS’s stability as well as an upgrade to the SpotPass features and enhanced network connections opening the system up to more wireless hotspots than before.
However, its the inclusion of a 3D video that’s the talk of the town. Downloading the firmware update will add a video to your Home menu that can be viewed in 3D!
Nintendo say additional firmware updates will add an Internet browser and Nintendo eShop in the near future.
