Another puzzle game in Skip's ever expanding Art Style series, KUBOS sees you playing a stick man attempting to climb over and avoid cubes which fall from the sky into a 5x5 grid pattern.
Controlling your skinny avatar with the D-pad, you can push cubes to fall into gaps or just out of your way. Points are awarded by walking over lines of five cubes - the more lines you get before the bottom floor falls off the screen, the more your tally will increase (and the colour of the cubes changes for each one).
The ultimate objective is to reach the top of the tenth floor, at which point your character will get one of nine different 'breaks' - simulated rest activities based on the 'best' cube colour you managed to achieve. Then there's the infinite mode to try out...
Using the minimalist audiovisual style utilised in the other games in this DSi series, KUBOS is one of the more unique puzzlers you'll play - and at 500 points from the DSiWare service, represents good value for money.
