Major Nelson Interview - Larry Hryb Major Nelson Interview - Larry Hryb
If you've got an Xbox 360, the chances are you know of Major Nelson. It's the blog from Microsoft's Xbox Live Director of Programming, and basically, it's the font of all knowledge for Xbox Live and often Xbox 360 in general. Coming from such a senior Microsoft employee, its RSS feed is a daily drip of official news, supported by a weekly podcast (over 200 shows and counting) which the Major (real name Larry) does on his own time. We leapt at the chance to talk to the man himself and in the magazine you'll find the highlights of the interview, plus the actual audio interview itself, which you can listen to as you read the rest of the magazine, where we talk about Sony, Halo 3, Live updates and more. Check out the screens and video in the magazine. Yummy! Click here to read it now!

BlackSite Area 51 preview BlackSite Area 51 preview
Imagine Space Invaders, but on the ground and in 3D, with big guns and awesome graphics. Actually, forget Space Invaders, Blacksite Area 51 is an alien killing festival the like of which we haven't seen since, oh I don't know, Gears of War. The games appears to have scale and attention to detail, so pretty much exactly what the Xbox 360 is designed for. We'll have to wait for more to see if the gameplay can live up to the promise, but the early signs are good for this fun bullet-fest. Click here to read it now!

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 preview GRAW 2 preview
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, or GRAW 2, follows swiftly on the popular original, so just how much has this sequel improved? We got the chance to find out with a playtest and were pleasantly surprised. The squad dymanic, so central to the game, has been beefed up and it's all encased in nice shiny Xbox 360 graphics. Find out how the single player and multiplayer elements of GRAW 2 are shaping up in our hands-on preview. Click here to read it now!

Xbox 360 HD drive review Xbox 360 HD drive review
So, the format wars are back - in the one corner our beloved Xbox 360 with an HD-DVD drive and in the other Sony's PS3 with blu-ray. We look at the Xbox 360's HD drive hardware and see how well it performs and how the films both look and sound, and then compare it to the Playstation 3's blu-ray capabilities. We also have a round-up of the films available on both formats. If you're confused by the new high definition format war, this is the place to start. Click here to read it now!

Battlestations Midway review Battlestations Midway review
Starting at Pearl Harbour, Battlestations Midway throws you into the action and gives you the chance to command huge ships, amazing planes and, er, dull submarines. The graphics are fantastic and immerse you in the action and the missions are nice and varied, with some truly amazing flying experiences. To find out the complete story on Battlestations Midway, where it succeeds and where it fails, read the in-depth review. Click here to read it now!

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires review Samurai Warriors 2 Empires review
The original Samurai Warrioros outing on the Xbox 360 was a bit of a non-event, but if this looks like a knocked out sequel, think again. KOEI has actually listened to the criticisms of the original and done something about them. We've now got a level of strategy to the game which adds a whole level of depth to the gameplay and very welcome it is too. Prepare to be surprised by an eastern promise that's now been fulfilled.
