UEFA Euro 2008 review Xbox 360

UEFA Euro 2008 review Xbox 360

With all four home nations stuck in the UK this summer, left out of the Euro 2008 action, fans can at least take comfort in taking their team through the virtual championship of UEFA Euro 2008 on the Xbox 360. With challenging on-pitch play and some startlingly realistic characterisations, this is footie that'll keep you gripped this summer. You'll get the chance to captain your country and show them how it's done, from the qualifiers to the final itself. Can it make up for not being there in the real championship? That's the question - you can find out all about UEFA Euro 2008 in our full review now!

UEFA Euro 2008 review for Xbox 360

The EA bods have got their work cut out convincing us we need a Euro 2008 game in our collection. Let's be honest, it's hardly a best-team-wins scenario when Greece can lift the flippin' trophy, and besides we don't even have any home nation sides to cheer on... But summer tournaments aren't just about partisan allegiances, or Germany winning on penalties like some unstoppable football machine. They're about flair, glamour and great stories of triumph from footballing disaster.

All of the above is present and correct here as EA have delivered an experience worthy of all the pomp and hyperbole we'll see when the real thing kicks off in June. On the pitch the action is tough - which is a good thing. It's never easy to score a goal, and there are enough difficulty levels to keep you playing until Fabio Capello finally puts together an England side worthy of playing in a Euro proper.
