You're dropped into this melee with a squad of soldiers, and you'll fight your way around the impressive, free-roaming world picking fights and defending your position, all backed up by a massive arsenal of weaponry and a choice of vehicles. Okay, so it's not the most innovative environmental statement ever but it's not often that a game makes you think about taking a Toyota Prius for a test drive while wincing at the words of a US President. The basics of Frontlines are much more traditional than the intro suggests. The world is at war, fighting over the last oil hot-spots and it's yourjob to calm things down and er, make sure the west gets all the oil it needs to function. Developers Kaos Studios previously worked on the Battlefield series of games and it's as close to the massive, free roaming war-fest as you could imagine. Battlefield has already debut early on in the life cycle of the Xbox 360 and so it's logical that Frontlines looks miles better, asking the Xbox 360 to perform the kind of visual workout recently demanded by Call of Duty 4 and Assassin's Creed.
