And it's got it in this latest instalment, Burnout Paradise. In Burnout Paradise, you'll find the same fast and frenzied racing, with plenty of spectacular stunts and crashes to be had, but there's much more freedom within the gameplay, as you find yourself in a free-roaming world where you can move about from race to race at will. That’s not to say Burnout wasn’t great fun but it’s been in need of an overhaul for some time. Burnout Revenge was just a nicer looking compilation of all the stuff that PlayStation 2 owners had been enjoying since 2001. Luckily, Burnout Paradise changes everything and you’ll never pause to consult the rear view mirror: once you’ve played Burnout Paradise, the previous instalments seem as exciting as driving a Land Rover around an Asda car park.
