TimeShift preview Xbox 360

TimeShift preview for Xbox 360

There's always room for a good first-person shooter in our view, and TimeShift, due out on the 360 this November, looks set to be a good first-person shooter. With a sci-fi plot a B-movie would be proud of - you're back in time with experimental weapons from the future - and some neat tricks up your sleeve - you can freeze, slow and stop time - there's plenty to set TimeShift apart from the herd. We've had a chance to play TimeShift this month; read our hands on preview to find out more!

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare preview for Xbox 360

The Call of Duty franchise is moving on in time - the newest incarnation, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, takes place in the modern field of combat, instead of the WW2 setting of its predecessors. It's not out until November, but we've had a hands on look at CoD4 in all its glory this month and it's fair to say we're impressed. Fans of the series won't be disappointed by the move to the modern battlefields of the Middle East and Eastern Europe - the gameplay is as solid as ever. Could this be the game to rival Halo 3 this autumn? Find out more in our Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare preview now!

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare interview for Xbox 360

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is currently whipping up a storm of excitement among those lucky enough to have access to its beta version, we've pinned down Vince Zampella, studio head at Infinity Ward, to get his take on the game. He tells us why they brought the COD franchise into the modern day and what that brings to the game, and while he's tight lipped about what secrets the game has in store, he's got plenty to say about the online aspects of COD4, the influences behind the game, his favourite new feature, and whether he'd rather take a sniper shot or go in with a knife. Conflict Denied Ops preview Xbox 360

Conflict Denied Ops preview for Xbox 360

Out next year, the latest in the Conflict series promises a bit of a departure from its predecessors. While Desert Storm and Global Storm and the rest were third-person squad based action games, the upcoming Conflict: Denied Ops will be a first person shooter, with just two characters to work with rather than a whole team. It's quite a change, but will it breathe fresh life into the series or kill it dead? Find out more in our Conflict Denied Ops preview now!

Kane and Lynch Dead Men preview Xbox 360

Kane and Lynch Dead Men preview for Xbox 360

We've had a hands-on look this month at Kane and Lynch: Dead Men from the team that brought us the Hitman series. Due out in time for Christmas lists everywhere, Kane and Lynch is an action classic in the making - brutal, fast-moving and with a plot so taut you'll be on the edge of your seat. Not one for the family market, this is unashamedly adult content, and that's one of the things that make it such an exciting prospect. Find out more about Kane and Lynch: Dead Men and see shots of the game in our hands-on preview now!
