With a $30million budget, the direct involvement of director John Woo and starring actor Chow Yun-Fat, Stranglehold looks at first glance more like a Hollywood film than a video game. But video game it is and it's out on the 360 later this month, complete with John Woo's trademark slo-mo moves, some stunning visuals and a movie-worthy plot. Stranglehold preview for Xbox 360
An amazingly realistic-looking Chow Yun-Fat stars as Inspector ‘Tequila' Yuen - from Woo movie Hard Boiled - in this exciting third-person shooter. Tequila is out for revenge against a crime lord - basically an excuse for plenty of slo-mo gunplay that has become the director's trademark.

What do we know?
It's an absolute bucketload of fun. While it's difficult to see where all that money's gone (evidently Chow Yun-Fat doesn't come cheap these days), there's some impressive physics on display, with environmental destruction on a scale never seen before. Basically, if you see it, you can destroy it - it's a real thrill to pinpoint a ledge or rock you can collapse onto an enemy's head.
